That was one of the most important things for us. Having a 60 FPS rate was something we really wanted to aim for and we achieved with Street Fighter X Tekken for Vita. Speaking to Siliconera, producer Tomoaki Ayano stated, “What we really wanted to do was to keep the frame rate at 60 FPS because we wanted this to be an authentic fighting game experience. Heavy stuff, no? Capcom thought so too, which is why they focussed on the frame rate for a smooth play experience. They want to have the same experience from the PS3, and cross-playable between the handheld and console. It’s interesting how Capcom is bringing Street Fighter X Tekken to the PS Vita, but really, we’ve never really discussed the method behind the madness.
